Squidoo Is Amazing!!

I have made so much money from my Gift’s For Teen Girls Lens, it is amazing! Just in the past few weeks, I have made over $20 in sales! Ok. So maybe that isn’t such a huge, ridiculous amount of money. But to me, it is! When I think about the work I have put into it, and how it hasn’t cost me a single penny to do it, but I am getting back a return, I think it’s amazing! I am so glad my teacher got me hooked. I am hoping that my lens will still remain popular, even after the Christmas season! If you haven’t already seen it, please go check it out!! Chick-fil-A Book Response

This last semester, we were assigned to read a book called “Chick-fil-A” that was written by the founder. Here is what I learned from that book.

With any business I want to have, I need to start somewhere. Maybe starting with a dream, then pursuing it. I can’t just let a dream drift away, I should act on it. If it fails, I should try again. If it succeeds, I may choose to expand. I am what I push myself to be.

No matter where I come from, I can still have a bright future. It’s not about where I started, it’s about how I finish. So I can’t let any past burdening situations affect my business in the future or hopes for my future business; I need to persevere and go forward.

I need to have passion for what I’m doing. I won’t want to put the amount of effort needed into my business if I don’t like it. Passion is important.

Commitment is a necessity. I have to be able to follow through and finish what I start. Being committed to my business will assure customers that I care – that this is what I love to do, and I enjoy serving them.

Consistency can’t be lacking. Customers will more or less demand it and it’s necessary in a good business. Showing people I am consistent with my good quality, good service, and good prices will be beneficial.

Another thing that is important in business, is that I don’t get too greedy. I can’t get so excited about the income that I try to expand my business too quickly or too much too soon. I need to take it one step at a time, the profits will come.

Loyalty is necessary, especially if I’m going to be dealing with employees.
I have to be trustworthy in order to gain the confidence of my customers.

If I have perseverance, passion, commitment, consistency, contentment, and loyalty, my business will have many of the attributes needed to succeed.

Yay We’re Done With Tests!!

I am so glad to be done with tests! No more tests for the whole year!! We get to start our own business next semester!

What We’re Doing In Business Today!

Right now, we are talking about my Hot Chocolate at School Lens. Yes. Since the whole “hot chocolate” business here didn’t really work, I am ready to move on with my life. Mrs. vdm had a great idea. I have apparently been getting google hits on my lens where people are googling “how to sell hot chocolate at school” and such like that. So, I should re-do my lens and make it all about selling hot chocolate at school. I.e.- telling how to do it, offering tips, selling cups and hot chocolate and such… Good idea hey?

Wishing I Was In Class

I couldn’t be in class right now, so I figured the least I could do is sit here at the airport and post on the blog. I have no clue what I am missing. But I’m sure everyone will fill me in on it soon. I did call Mrs. vdm when class started! She’s helping me figure out my flights and such…. my impression of flying so far, is that it’s a little annoying. Doctors and planes never seem to run on time. Why do we pay them, and they make us wait? Maybe I could start a business like that. I could charge people to sit around and wait in chairs all day! That could be fun!
(haha im totally just kidding… i know doctors and flights can’t help it…. and i having fun, even tho i haven’t left yet ).
well. there’s my business thought for the day.

Advertising on Squidoo!

My business is a media business. One of the things I do is make slideshows. I can take pictures and video clips and put them to music and make a great little show. I haven’t made a lens about it yet, but what I have done is mentioned the business on some of my lenses! Such as my Gifts For Teen Girls; and myMaking Music Videos lens.
